I love Firefox. I love the skins, the tabs, and the add-ons. Especially the add-ons.
With Firefox being open-source, there is literally a plugin for every single one of your needs. From blogging, to designing, to promoting, there is a add-on for that. So I’ll be sharing these add-ons with you through video, showing off all of their features and usefulness. So lets get rolling….
Mozilla Firefox Add-on #1 is…
High quality version coming soon.
One thing I forgot to mention was that it was Search Status that showed the Pagerank and Alexa rank to the right of the SearchStatus icon. It can also show the Compete rank but that it pretty much useless at the moment.
Textual Recap:
- Nofollow Links - This feature highlights all links on the page with the nofollow attribute. This is useful especially useful when searching for blogs that allow for links in comments and trackbacks to be followed (like this blog :D).
- Link Report - A neat report on the total number of links (external, internal, followed, not followed) on a page. This is great when you are looking for sites to buy links on and are looking to maximize your pagerank gain.
- Meta Tags - Shows all meta tags for a page
- Archive.org - Takes you to the way back machine to see how old the domain/website is. Great for buying websites/authoritative links.
- Whois - Get the whois for the page from either DNSStuff.com or Domaintools.com
- Robots.txt - Shows the robots.txt for a domain
- Keyword Density - Type in a keyword and it shows the keyword density from the title, <h1,2,3> tags, links, bold and meta. Excellent to make sure your in the right range for your keyword.
- Highlight Keyword -Highlights a keyword on the page (a function that I use from another addon)
- Indexed Pages - Opens up google, msn, yahoo and shows their amounts of indexed pages for the website your on (Yahoo Explorer is the best imo)
- Backward Link (backlinks) - Show Google, Yahoo, and MSN for backlink counts (or just click on inlinks in Site Explorer)
